1. About the Institution

           FHW Training School, RD Wing, Lamphelpat was established in 1984 under Family Welfare Department, Government of Manipur inaugurated by      Shri. Radhabinod Akoijam, Hon’ble Minister (Medical) on 9th January, 1994.

           The main objective of the school are as follows:

  • The institution is organized for the promotion of spiritual, physical, mental, educational and cultural development for the society.
  • To upliftment of girls and womens status in society of all ages without any distinction of caste and religion.
  • To uplift the literacy in the people residing in the rural areas and urban areas.

              Our training  school under MNC is affiliated to the Indian Nursing Council.

4. ANM:

         Course:-

           ANM full form is  Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery in Nursing which is a diploma course comes under Medical Nursing.

           The Duration is of 2 years including 6 months of internship. The main aims of the course is to teach students to help the whole community of           people in providing health care.

           This course has its important because of the need for people to have knowledge in the nursing profession.

            ANM course is available in full time course – ANM Course get to work in all kins of health care organization. They have to treat patients, take care  of their health and work in rehabilitation.

      The subject pursued in the curriculum of the ANM Course are enlisted below:

  • Community Health Nursing.
  • Health promotion.
  • Primary Health Care.
  • Child Health Nursing.
  • Health Centre Management.
  • Midwifery

      ANM programmes aims to produce:-

  • Flexibility, adaptability, empathy, organizational skill and time management.
  • Leadership skill, determination.
  • Physical fitness.
  • Good communication.
  • Contact alertness to change in patient condition.

         Eligibility:

                 Minimum eligibility criteria for candidates interested in pursuing ANM to fulfil.

                  Successful completion of 10 + 2 level of education from a recognized educational board.

         Achievement:

            First year ANM  student hold 1st position in all Manipur during 2021-22 year (2021-23 Batch) 

5. Admission process:

          Entrance test for ANM/GNM conducted by Health Department, Govt. of Manipur.
