A. State Innovation (extended PMSMA – e-PMSMA)
SPECIAL INITIATIVE PMSMA PROGRAMME “MIRONBISING GI KHUDOL” MEANING GIFT FOR THE EXPECTANT MOTHERS
State is moving forward with a newer/special initiative of PMSMA by covering the public health facilities located in the far flung areas and where there is lack of volunteer Doctors in the particular district.
So far, 26 such programs have been conducted successfully.
State has also received award from Hon'ble Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, MoHFW, GoI for 1 st State for rapid roll out of Extended PMSMA in the country at New Delhi on 14th December, 2022
Achievement under “Mironbising Gi Khudol” are as below:

B. State Innovation (Birth Waiting Homes-BWHs)
Birth Waiting Homes are residential facilities where women who live remotely can wait before giving birth at a hospital or health centre.
Birth Waiting Homes (BWH) – first of its kind in the state, is an innovation to provide free accommodation (7 to 10 days ahead of Expected Date of Delivery), diet and transport to reduce maternal mortality in the high home delivery pockets in the state.
The 1st Birth Waiting Home (BWH) was inaugurated by State Nodal Officer, Maternal Health (MH) at CHC Saikul, Kangpokpi District on 2nd December, 2022.
It was also implemented at PHC Maram, PHC Paomata, PHC Oinam Hills of Senapati district.
Moreover, it is going to implement at PHCs Tousem & Tamei of Tamenglong district, PHC Khoupum of Noney district and CHC Chakpikarong of Chandel district in FY 2023-24.
