VILLAGE HEALTH SANITATION & NUTRITION DAY (VHSND)
VHSND is being implemented across the country since 2007 as a community platform, connecting the community and health systems and facilitating convergent actions. It attempts to bring health, early childhood development, nutrition and sanitation services to the doorstep and promote community engagement for improved health and wellbeing.
VHSND has been strengthened as a part of the 100 action points for the first 100 days of the Government of Manipur for FY 2022-23 on 18th May, 2022 to serve the people of Manipur effectively throughout the five years by targeting the villages in a phase-wise manner till the saturation of all the villages in the state and is conducted monthly in the identified villages in coordination with Social Welfare Department .
